1. Vinmec Healthcare System
On August 24, 2020, VinUni University and Vinmec Healthcare System signed an Alliance Agreement on Training, Research and Strategic Cooperation in Healthcare Sciences. According to the agreement, Vinmec experts, clinicians, and nurses will be appointed as lecturers at VinUni University, directly participating in clinical teaching activities and research cooperation. The two parties will establish common resources and infrastructure to promote the research mission. Vinmec will cooperate with VinUni as the main teaching hospital, creating opportunities for students to gain practical experience. In addition, the two parties will also implement a strategic alliance in nursing and residency training, aiming to provide high-quality medical human resources for Vinmec.
2. CustoMED – Israel
CustoMED is a unit of Sheba Medical Center. This is the largest and most comprehensive medical center in the Middle East with a global impact through transforming research, healthcare and healthcare services. Sheba is in the top 10 best hospitals in the world for 4 consecutive years (2019 – 2022), according to Newsweek. On January 26, 2024, the Center for 3D Technology in Medicine (3D Lab), VinUni University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CustoMED – Sheba Medical Center, Israel. With the signed agreement, the two parties committed to developing the following contents: (1) Organizing visits to exchange information on automatic 3D printing software, (2) Sharing CT scan data before and after the 3D printing model design process; (3) Conduct research activities to evaluate the results of automated 3D printing and engineer-assisted design.
3. MediCAD
Since 1994, mediCAD® has been the world’s largest provider of implant and orthopedic devices. The large database allows orthopedists to choose from 500,000 models from more than 130 implant manufacturers worldwide. Through close cooperation with more than 3,500 leading medical units, mediCAD HECTEC GmbH, Germany is now a global player in the medical software market. On November 15, 2023, the Center for 3D Technology in Medicine, VinUni University, and mediCAD Hectec GmbH, Germany signed a cooperation agreement (MOU). This agreement has paved the way for cooperation between the two units to enhance visualization capabilities, and improve design models and surgical plans for bone and joint deformities in medical orthopedic surgery using 3D technology.
4. National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatolog
National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology is a leading, Grade 1 specialized hospital of Odonto-Stomatology under the Ministry of Health, and is also a scientific research center and a training facility for human resources in the field of Odonto-Stomatology. The hospital is a place to provide emergency services, medical examination, treatment, and rehabilitation of Odonto-Stomatology for all patients from within and outside the country; conduct scientific research, deploy applications of science, technology, and modern techniques to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment; participate in training and fostering medical human resources, disease prevention, international cooperation, and professional guidance at lower levels according to assigned provinces, cities, and regions.
On September 6, the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement (MOU) between the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, Hanoi and the Center for 3D Technology in Medicine (3D Lab), VinUni University took place at the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, with the participation of leaders of the two units. The two sides signed a cooperation agreement on the deployment and development of 3D technology in Odonto-Stomatology (RHM). This is an important initial step, promising to open up opportunities for research projects and the application of 3D technology in Odonto-Stomatology, especially in complex surgeries, to improve the quality of treatment and patient satisfaction.
5. Bac Giang Provincial General Hospital
Bac Giang Provincial General Hospital is a Grade I hospital, a medical examination and treatment facility under the Ministry of Health or the People’s Committee of the province, city and other sectors responsible for medical examination and treatment for people in a number of provinces and cities under the Central Government. The hospital has a team of medical staff with high technical expertise, modern equipment, specialized departments, and appropriate infrastructure.
On August 7, 2024, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Bac Giang Provincial General Hospital and the Center for 3D Technology in Medicine took place at VinUni University with the participation of leaders of the two units. We have signed a cooperation agreement between the two units on research and development, training and design of 3D applications in surgery, paving the way for international medical projects in the future. This is a strong commitment to improving the quality of medical services and patient satisfaction.
