Advancing Sports Medicine: VinUniversity Orthopaedic Residents Participate in AFC Training Course

Residents from VinUniversity’s Orthopaedics program, along with doctors from the Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Center at Vinmec Times City International Hospital, participated in the prestigious “AFC Sports Medicine & Anti-Doping Training Course in Vietnam,” held at the Vietnam Football Federation from July 12 to July 14, 2024.

The event brought together 71 trainees from football clubs nationwide and featured renowned instructors from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The course was conducted under the guidance of leading experts from AFC, including Mr. Dato Gurcharan Singh, Chairman of the AFC Medical Committee; Prof. Farrah Hani Imran; Ms. Edna Ponelas Carpio, Secretary of the AFC Medical Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, Head of the Sports Medicine Department of the Vietnam Football Federation.

This course significantly enriched the knowledge of orthopaedic residents in sports medicine.
