MY RESIDENCY JOURNEY AT VINUNI: FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Right after officially enrolling, VinUni left a deep and lasting impression on me. The learning environment here stands out for its global integration—all lectures, slides, emails, and coursework are delivered entirely in English, allowing us to easily access and stay updated with the latest knowledge. Additionally, I truly appreciate the thoughtful support from the university, including email reminders, system updates on Canvas, and the constant presence of teaching assistants in the lecture halls. Most importantly, students’ voices are highly valued, making me feel truly heard.

In terms of organization, I am particularly impressed by VinUni’s professionalism. One of the first things I was taught was the code of conduct, followed by guidance on using the library. The university also hosts meticulously organized large-scale events, such as the Opening Ceremony, which was so grand that I was a little overwhelmed. Moreover, VinUni stands out for its cutting-edge facilities – most notably, state-of-the-art 3D printing technology, one of VinUni’s key strengths.

What I am most grateful for is the enthusiastic support from Dr. Trần Trung Dũng, who has created incredible opportunities for us to connect with and learn from leading professors and doctors, both nationally and internationally. Thanks to him, I was fortunate to directly exchange knowledge and insights with his “friends”—such as Prof. Tsuchiya, Prof. Zhang Jin, and Dr. Chao Zhang, pioneers in bone cancer treatment in Japan and China, as well as Prof. Junsuke Nasake and Prof. Hideyuki Koga, top experts in Sports Medicine at Japan’s leading university hospitals.

Looking back, my first few weeks as a resident have been truly positive and fulfilling 🥰. I hope that in the future, I will continue to explore new opportunities—not only in acquiring knowledge but also in building meaningful connections—to help me gain a clearer vision of my future career path.
