The Daily Hustle
A Rollercoaster of Emotions, Learning Beyond the Textbooks
Mornings start early—sometimes too early. The hospital corridors become our second home, we gather for rounds, rush between wards, check charts, and exchange knowing looks when someone finally cracks a tricky diagnosis.

Residency isn’t just about absorbing knowledge—it’s about applying it in ways that truly impact young lives. And of course, we can’t forget about case presentations, teaching round and journal clubs. We also hone our skills through medical procedures training and pediatric/neonatal life support courses at the simulation center, ensuring we’re fully prepared for real-world patient care.
At VinUniversity, our learning extends far beyond the hospital. Through direct mentorship from experts at UPenn and CHOP, and opportunities to participate in CHOP’s international observership course, we gain insights from some of the world’s best. But our growth isn’t limited to clinical practice—we also collaborate with social organizations to develop support plans for children with special needs, making a meaningful impact on the community.

Through all the ups and downs, one thing is clear: being a pediatric resident at VinUniversity is an unforgettable experience.
We may come in as medical students, but we leave as pediatricians—ready to take on the world, one tiny patient at a time.
