Invitation to Register for the 8th National Medical Education Conference

THE 8th NATIONAL MEDICAL EDUCATION CONFERENCE, themed “Strategic alliance: health education and professional practice” organised by the Vietnam Association for Medical Education (VAME) and co-hosted by VinUniversity, will take place between November 15th–16th, 2024, at VinUniversity’s campus, Vinhomes Ocean Park, Gia Lam District, Hanoi.  

 

Detailed tentative agenda for the Conference has been attached to this announcement and is also regularly updated on our website: https://vame.org.vn/en/program.html. The Conference agenda consists of the following activities: 

          *Friday, November 15th, 2024:  

  • Pre-conference workshops: registration fees apply, with a total of 19 workshops closely following the Conference’s main theme, divided into morning and afternoon sessions. Each session consists of 2 time slots, each slot has 5 parallel workshops running in 5 different rooms. Details of CME-accredited workshops will be updated later at: https://vame.org.vn/en/program.html. 

Attendees can register for workshops according to their preferences, provided there are no scheduling conflicts. Due to limited capacity, please register early to secure your spot in the desired sessions. 

Registration fee: 1,000,000 VND/person (one million Vietnamese dong per person), please register online via the registration portal at: https://vame.org.vn/en/pre-registration.html or scan the QR code.

 

 

  • Dean’s Club Meeting: tentatively scheduled from 17:15 to 18:45, exclusively for deans with invitation letters will be sent separately. 
  1. Friday’s evening, November 15th, 2024: Gala dinner (free registration, open to non-student attendees only). Please register online via the registration portal at: https://vame.org.vn/en/pre-registration.html or scan the QR code above.
  2. Saturday, November 16th, 2024: Main Conference (free registration, open to all attendees including students). Please register online via the registration portal at: https://vame.org.vn/en/pre-registration.html or scan the QR code above. 

Additionally, we would like to provide an update on some key information regarding the Conference as follows: 

  • The deadline for submitting scientific abstracts and student essays has been extended to end of September 30th, 2024. Authors selected for oral or poster presentations on the Main Conference will be notified approximately 2 weeks after the extended submission deadline. Guidelines for preparing the presentations will also be sent to the authors during this time. 
  • Information about student activities, including the National Medical Academic Competition and Student Showcase, has been attached to this announcement. Details are as follows: 

National Medical Academic Competition has opened their registration. Please see the brochure attached for detailed information, including registration methods: 

  • Registration deadline: October 15th, 2024 
  • Online preliminary round: October 19th, 2024 
  • Offline final round at VinUniversity: November 15th-16th, 2024
