Celebrating 3 Years of the Strategic Collaboration between VinUniversity and Cornell University, UPenn

On April 3, 2018, 28 days after announcing its decision to join the higher education field by establishing VinUniversity, Vingroup officially signed a collaboration agreement with two leading universities in the world: Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania. The collaboration affirms the long-term commitment of Vingroup to create a world-class university that will be a breakthrough in higher education in Vietnam. According to this collaboration:

• • The entire curriculum, from design to quality validation, is supported by Cornell University (for the College of Business & Management, and the College of Engineering & Computer Science) and University of Pennsylvania (for the College of Health Sciences).
  • Professor Rohit Verma, a leading expert in Business Administration at Cornell University, top 2% of the world’s most cited scholars, has been named VinUniversity’s Founding Provost to help establish a university of excellence. In addition, academic programs in the College of Health Sciences are also offered and led by faculty from the University of Pennsylvania.
  • 100% of VinUniversity faculty participated in training in active-learning pedagogy, delivered by the Center for Teaching Innovation, Cornell University.
  • In July 2020, VinUniversity initiated the Study Away program, hosting students from Cornell University for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semester.
  • Alongside Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania, VinUniversity continues to develop international cooperation with world-renowned universities, i.e. University of Technology Sydney (Australia), Yonsei University (Korea), Western University in Ontario (Canada), etc offering opportunities for exchange of faculty, students, joint research and educational collaborations.

After 3 years from the signing ceremony, with tireless efforts, VinUniversity is realizing its dream of becoming a distinguished, world-class university, with the mission of training and educating outstanding individuals who are capable and passionate about improving the quality of life within the community.
