Program Objectives
Educational Goals of the Program
Competency-Based Training and Comprehensive Anesthesia Care:
Our program follows a competency- and evidence-based approach to ensure residents develop the essential skills, knowledge, and clinical judgment needed to practice anesthesia competently. Residents will acquire the ability to diagnose, treat, and manage anesthesia across a wide variety of clinical settings, ensuring excellent patient outcomes through safe, effective, and evidence-based practices.
Crisis Management, Leadership, and Gradual Responsibility
Residents will be trained to demonstrate leadership in crisis situations, developing the ability to manage high-pressure scenarios with confidence and decisiveness. As part of their training, they will progressively take on more responsibilities, from basic patient management to complex, high-stakes cases, in line with their developing skills and confidence.
International Collaboration and Expert Instruction
The program offers opportunities to learn from renowned French universities, including the University of Montpellier, with distinguished professors from France providing expert instruction, insights into advanced practices and strategies for managing critical situations in anesthesia.
Clinical Experience and Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Residents will gain hands-on experience at top-tier hospitals such as Vinmec Times City Hospital, Military 108 Hospital, and Bạch Mai Hospital. These institutions provide exposure to a diverse range of anesthesia cases and high-pressure environments. Residents will also work closely with a variety of healthcare professionals, developing leadership and teamwork skills within interdisciplinary teams.
Patient Education and Compassionate Care
Residents will be trained to educate patients effectively and collaborate with colleagues to provide patient-centered anesthesia care, promoting positive patient outcomes in every clinical interaction.
