AHA UPDATE WORKSHOP AT VINUNI MEDICAL SIMULATION CENTER

In order to update the latest teaching content and assessment methodologies in accordance with the guidelines of the American Heart Association (AHA), the Medical Simulation Center – Institute of Health Sciences, VinUniversity organized the AHA Update Workshop, with the participation of AHA instructors and healthcare education professionals.

The workshop focused on several key areas, including:

• Updates to the AHA course curricula.
• Revisions to exam structure and assessment content in line with current recommendations and standards.
• Discussions on effective, learner-centered teaching methods.
• Sharing teaching experiences, managing educational scenarios, and integrating simulation-based education into medical training.

Beyond content updates, the workshop served as a valuable platform for AHA instructors to engage in discussions, exchange perspectives, and align teaching approaches, promoting consistency in curriculum delivery, teaching methodology, and assessment standards. These efforts contribute to the continuous improvement of training quality and learner experience.

The workshop was directed by Associate Professor Nguyen Hoang Long, MD, PhD – Director of the Medical Simulation Center, and chaired by Dr. Nguyen Thai Tri – Head of the Department of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, Vinmec Da Nang International Hospital, with close collaboration among instructors, simulation technicians, and the operational support team of the Medical Simulation Center. This activity reflects the Center’s strong commitment to maintaining and enhancing education quality in accordance with international standards.
