VinUniversity extends a warm welcome to The Fulbright Scholar from The USA

In May-June 2023, the Bachelor of Nursing program at the College of Health Sciences had the privilege of hosting Associate Professor Dr. Karen S. Reed from the School of Nursing at the University of Florida, USA. Dr. Reed joined VinUni as part of the Fulbright Scholars program.
During time at VinUniversity, Dr. Reed focused on teaching and guiding our Bachelor of Nursing students, particularly in relation to the NCLEX – National Council Licensure Examination, a nationwide examination for the licensing of nurses in the United States, Canada, and Australia. This exam serves as a gateway for students to become global citizens and work in renowned medical institutions worldwide. Dr. Reed’s insights were invaluable in helping our nursing students chart their path towards becoming exceptional international nurses, pursuing postgraduate studies, and exploring employment opportunities at esteemed organizations such as those in the US, Canada, etc.

Working closely with the faculty of the Bachelor of Nursing Program at the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Karen S. Reed conducted intensive training sessions on developing NCLEX-style exam questions and updated teaching content to best support students on their international career paths.
