On June 26, 2025, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam officially announced the appointment of 33 members to the National Medical Council for the 2025–2030 term. This marks a significant step in implementing the amended Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, aiming to standardize the licensing process and competency assessment for healthcare professionals nationwide.

Among the newly appointed members is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Cu Linh MD, PhD, Interim Dean of the College of Health Sciences at VinUniversity. As a distinguished academic leader with extensive experience in medical education, research, and international collaboration, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Cu Linh has played a pivotal role in developing integrated medical training programs aligned with global standards at VinUniversity.

His appointment to the National Medical Council not only reflects recognition of his personal expertise but also affirms VinUniversity’s growing contribution to the advancement of Vietnam’s medical education system. As a representative from a private, high-quality higher education institution, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Cu Linh brings valuable perspectives on innovation in training, quality assurance, and competency-based assessment.
In his new role, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Cu Linh is expected to make substantial contributions to the development of a transparent, practical, and internationally aligned competency evaluation framework for medical professionals. His work with the Council will support the Ministry of Health’s broader mission to ensure high standards of care and professionalism across the healthcare sector in Vietnam.
