Simulators
SIMULATORS
VMSC not only has state-of-the-art facilities but also has a system of high-fidelity simulators which are always updated with the trend of simulation-based training in the world, helping trainees have the most realistic experience possible. For example, learners could see realistic vital signs of simulators such as heart sounds, lung sounds and heart rate. Additionally, it is possible to use a real defibrillator and ECG with simulators.
I) High-Fidelity Mannequin Simulation
VMSC has been engaged in high fidelity simulation since 2017. Our medical students participate in simulation during their clerkship rotations. We have also trained students in the following specialties: anesthesia, critical care, emergency medicine, pediatric emergency medicine internal medicine and pediatric dentistry. VMSC educators work with program directors to develop curriculum using high-fidelity mannequin that is appropriate with learning objectives and level of experience.

2) 1- year high-fidelity simulator for advanced cardiovascular resuscitation |

II) AR/VR simulation system
VMSC has been using 3D VR simulation systems since 2017. Simbionix’s 3D simulators with haptic feedback features, giving students a realistic learning experience… 3D Simulation systems currently in use include: Angio Mentor, LAP Mentor, US Mentor and GI & Bronch Mentor. In addition, a library of diverse practice exercises, based on real clinical situations, has contributed to improving the skills of medical staff, as well as VinUni students.

III) Task trainers
VMSC use the Low-fidelity simulations in basic training courses including Basic skills, Basic Life support, heartsaver training These simulations are paper- or computer-based, task trainers that are generally static models allow for very little learner interaction within the simulation and do not have the capability for providing feedback.
