Curriculum & Clinical Training
The Radiology Residency Program at VinUniversity is a rigorous four-year training pathway that immerses residents in a comprehensive curriculum covering all aspects of diagnostic radiology. The program is led by Associate Professor Dr. Bui Van Giang, who serves as Director of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Vinmec Healthcare System and Director of the Radiology Radiology Residency Program at VinUni’s College of Health Sciences. Under his leadership, residents benefit from hands-on clinical training and close mentorship by experienced radiologists.
A hallmark of the program is its strong collaboration with leading medical institutions, including Vinmec Healthcare System, Central Military Hospital 108, and the National Children’s Hospital. These partnerships provide residents with diverse clinical exposure across a wide range of patient populations and medical conditions. In their final year, residents also have the opportunity to participate in international rotations at VinUni’s partner institutions, expanding their global perspective and enhancing their expertise in advanced radiological practices.
Advanced Imaging Education Center (AIEC)
VinUniversity’s Advanced Imaging Education Center (AIEC) stands as a cornerstone of practical radiology education. This premier facility provides residents with access to a vast repository of real-world imaging case studies, sourced from both domestic and international healthcare systems. These cases are curated by experienced faculty and visiting international experts, offering residents a rich, case-based learning experience that bridges the gap between theory and clinical application.
