AHA Course

AHA Courses

This AHA’s PALS provider course is designed to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.  Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; the systematic approach to pediatric assessment; effective respiratory management; defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion; intraosseous access, fluid bolus administration; and effective resuscitation team dynamics.

  • Who should take this course?
    Healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients.
  • Course Duration:
    • PALS Provider Course: 3 days
    • PALS Provider Renewal: 2 days

*** PALS Provider Renewal is for participants who still have a valid AHA’s PALS card in their possession on the day of the class.

  • Material: AHA’s PALS Provider Manual.

  • Course Content
    • The systematic approach to assess and treat a seriously ill or injured infant/child
    • High-quality Child CPR AED and Infant CPR per AHA BLS recommendations
    • Recognition and management of cardiac arrest, respiratory distress and failure, shock and arrhythmias and post-cardiac arrest care
    • Effective resuscitation team dynamics
  • Language used in the course:
    Bilingual in English and Vietnamese with all teaching materials and videos in English. Interpretation support for those who are in need.
  • Number of trainees per course: 12 (maximum 14)
  • Certification: After completing a written and practical test, participants will receive an AHA PALS provider certificate with 2-year validity.

The AHA’s ACLS provider course covers comprehensive emergency cardiac care, including recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). The goal of this course is to improve outcomes for adult patients of cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies through early recognition and interventions by high-performing teams.

  • Who should take this course?
    Healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies, including physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and others as required by their employers.
  • Course Duration:
    • ACLS Provider Course: 2.5 days
    • ACLS Provider Renewal: 1.5 days
      *** ACLS Provider Renewal is for participants who still have a valid AHA’s ACLS card in their possession on the day of the class.

  • Course content:
    • High-quality BLS, including early chest compressions and early automated external defibrillator (AED) use
    • Recognition and early management of respiratory arrest, acute coronary syndromes (ACS), stroke, bradyarrhythmias, tachyarrhythmias and cardiac arrest until termination of resusciatation or transfer of care, including immediate post-cardiac arrest care
    • Evaluation of resuscitative efforts during a cardiac arrest through continuous assessment of cardiopulmonary resuscitation quality, monitoring the patient’s physiologic response, and delivering real-time feedback to the team
    • Effective communication as a member and leader of a high-performing team.
  • Language used in the course:Bilingual in English and Vietnamese with all teaching materials and videos in English. Interpretation support for those who are in need.

  • Certification: After completing a written and practical test, participants will receive an AHA ACLS provider certificate with 2-year validity.

The AHA’s BLS Provider Course offers a foundation for saving lives from cardiac arrest. It teaches both single-rescuer and teams about basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.

  • Who should take this course?
    • Healthcare professionals
    • Health staff and lifeguards of hotels, resorts and entertainment areas
    • Aerobics/fitness/sport instructors, teachers
    • Flight attendants
    • Other personel in need (a medical background is not required).
  • Course Duration: 1.5 days
  • Material: AHA’s BLS Provider Manual eBook

  • Course content:
    • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
    • Importance of early use of an AED and demonstrate its use
    • Effective ventilation by using a barrier device
    • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children and infants
    • Importance of team dynamics in multirescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
  • Language used in the course: Bilingual of English and Vietnamese with all teaching materials and videos in English. Interpretation support for those who are in need.
  • Number of trainees per course: maximum 18
  • Certification:
    • After completing a written and practical test, participants will receive an AHA BLS provider certificate with 2-year validity.
    • If needed, learners could receive CME/CPD certificates which are valid nationwide in Vietnam.

The AHA’s Heartsaver courses are designed to prepare trainees to provide first aid, CPR, and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner according to the official guidelines of AHA.

  • Who should take this course?
    • Healthcare professionals
    • Health staff and lifeguards of hotels, resorts and entertainment areas
    • Public and private safety/security employees
    • Aerobics/fitness/sport instructors
    • Pilots and flight attendants
    • Teachers and other education institution staff
    • Other personel in need (a medical background is not required).
