NURSING MANAGEMENT

Nurse managers play an important role in all healthcare settings. Their work scope covers human resource management, budgeting, planning, logistics, quality assurance, etc. To meet the work demands, nurse managers need a brand new skill set completely different from those of bedside nurses. The VinUniversity CME course “Nursing Management” aims to provide a foundation of knowledge and skills in healthcare management and leadership nurses. The learners can be extended to midwives and technicians. The course consists of two parts: the onsite traning at VinUni campus and the 3-6 month support program after the first part. With the continuing support and peer-sharing program, students will be supported and guided in implementing management/leadership/service quality improvement projects. All these activities aim to produce competent nurse managers for healthcare institutions.

1. Who should take this course?

– Nurses, Midwives, and Technicians who would like to obtain the certificate required for their administrative appoinment
– Others who want to extend their knowledge and skills in management and leadership

2. Course duration

158 hours (52-hour theorical period and 106-hour practical period)

– Nursing leadership and management model
– Essential management and leadership skills
– Operating and linking medical services
– Nursing organization management system
– Policy on nursing professions and related health sciences
– Patient safety and medical incident prevention
– Professional ethics and research ethics
– Clinical teaching methods and staff training
– Communication in nursing practice
– Evidence-based practice.

4. The language used in the course: Vietnamese and/or English, depending on the learners’ needs

5. The number of trainees per course: maximum 30 participants.

6. Certification: CME/CPD certificates equivalent to 158 hours

7. Fee: 10.000.000 VND/course/person
